News from your Saegertown Area Library:

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! If you don’t have a card, stop in to get one and see all the free services you are missing. If you already have a card, please bring a friend who needs one. Thanks for supporting your Hometown Library!

Mail Boxes:

All parts of Mailboxes (or newspaper boxes) must be at least 1 foot from the edge of the blacktop.

All posts must have reflectors on them. Boro will NOT repair or replace any boxes damaged from snow plowing.

Trees on Saeger Heights:

The trees on all streets on Saeger-Heights were privately planted. The trees must be trimmed so they are at least 2 feet from the edge of the road and at least 14 feet high above the street. This must be done prior to snow plowing, so the trucks are not damaged. This also insures clearance for firetrucks and garbage trucks.

Dead Animals:

If there is a dead animal on the street, please let us know ASAP. We will remove and discard it,

if it is not yet at the stinking stage. Do not call when it starts to stink…we will not remove it then.

Watch for Deer:

It is that time of year again!!! Deer will be moving around more as autumn approaches.

Drive slowly and watch for them. Remember: if a deer runs across the road, it is likely another will follow.
