Water Rate Schedule
- New Water Rates below to go into effect January 1, 2021
- Minimum & Up to 1,000 gallons = $10.00
- 1,001 & 10,000 gallons = $2.30 per 1,000 gallons
- 10,001 & 50,000 gallons = $1.90 per 1,000 gallons
- 50,001 & 1,000,000 gallons = $1.40 per 1,000 gallons
- In EXCESS of 1,000,001 gallons = $0.95 per 1,000 gallons
In addition, Service Line Fees are charged monthly, based on the size of the service line feeding the building
Consumer Confidence Reports
Billing Policy
Meters are read by the end of the Month (preferably on the last 2 working days of the Month). Water bills are mailed by the 5th of each Month and Payment is due by 20th of each Month.
Late Payment fees are assessed after the 30th of the Month.
Property Owners only will be billed for water usage (we will NOT bill tenants).
Late Fees and Penalties (per unit):
- Interest on Late Payments = 18% APR
- Late Penalty = $10.00 or 15% (whichever is greater)
- Water Shut-Off Fee = $50.00
- Water Service Turn-On Fee = $50.00
- NSF Fee = $50.00 per check
- Certified Letter Fee = $20.00
Example of Payment and Shut-Off Schedule:
Month #1
- Billed by 5th of the Month
- Payment due on 20th of the Month
- Penalties and Interest added after the 20th and before the 30th of the Month ($10 plus interest or 15% plus interest)
Month #2
- Billed by 5th of the Month (Including Outstanding, Penalty and Interest from previous Month)
- Payment due on 20th of the Month
- Penalties and Interest added after the 20th and before the 30th of the Month ($10 plus interest or 15% plus interest)
Month #3
- Billed by 5th of the Month (Including 2 previous months outstanding & penalties and Interest)
- Send Shut-Off Notice with this bill
- Post Notice on Residence
- Certified letter (Customer charged $20 for certfied letters)
- Give 10 days to pay the ENTIRE BILL
- 3 months water usage
- (2) $10 late fees (or 15%)
- Interest
- Shut-Off date usually around 15th of the Month
We do NOT let partial payments terminate Shut-Off Notice (Bill must be paid in FULL).
Any customer that has previously bounced a check, must pay cash, money order or certified check on all Shut-Off Notices
Time Example: If someone does not pay their January water bill (water used in December) or February water bill, they will be sent a shut-off notice with their March bill (at that time they owe for water used in December, January and February).
Drought Contingency Plan Summary
Stage 1: Commonwealth Declares a Drought Watch or Warning for the Area
Demand Measures:
- Conduct Public Notices
- Voluntary Restrictions on Nonessential Water Use
Supply Measures:
- Closely monitor Leak and Loss System-wide
- Monitor Well pumping levels Monthly
Stage 2: Governor Declares a Drought Emergency for the Area
Demand Measures:
- Implement Mandatory Restrictions on Nonessential Water Use
- Identify Customers that could be shed from the System
- Conduct System Wide Audit of Customer Usage
- Develop Water Rationing Plan
Supply Measures:
- Continue to monitor Leak and Loss System-wide
- Monitor Well pumping levels Weekly
Stage 3: Rationing – Supply Cannot Meet Demand
Demand Measures:
- Implement Water Rationing Plan
Supply Measures:
- Activate EMA
- Monitor available supply (all Wells)
- List Emergency sources and Equipment
Stage 4
- Lower Emergency Levels Back to Stage 2 or 1 when safe to do so
- Lift All Drought Plans when safe to do so
