December Newsletter

Property Taxes:

Back in 1994 the property tax rate for the Borough was 7 mil. In 2008 Borough Council decided to temporarily lower the millage to 4 mil. The temporary reduction has lasted 14 years and saved the average property owner over $1,200!! In 2022, due to the new well project, we are bringing the temporary tax reduction to an end, and returning the rate to the 1994 level of 7 mil. It has been a nice 14-year run, and hopefully we can hold this rate for another 14 years! We will still have one of the lowest property tax rates of any Borough.

Compare to Other Borough’s Property Tax rates:

            -Cambridge Springs:              15.5 mil

            -Linesville:                               15.2 mil

            -Conneaut Lake:                     15.0 mil

            -Cochranton:                         14.25 mil

            -Conneautville:                        10.0 mil
